Constitution

1. The name of the society is the “North Shore Fastpitch Association” and shall hereinafter be referred to as “the Society.”
2. The purposes of the Society are:
   1. to operate as a non-profit organization for the promotion and encouragement of amateur softball in the District of North Vancouver, the City of North Vancouver and the District of West Vancouver;
   2. to establish and operate amateur softball leagues for minor players in said communities;
   3. to develop, maintain and increase the interest of softball and to encourage competition, good sportsmanship, and fellowship for all participants at all skill levels;
   4. to teach mutual respect for all players, officials, and spectators at all times; and
   5. to raise funds necessary for the society’s operation by membership fees, donation or otherwise.
3. The purposes of the Society shall be carried out without pecuniary gain to its members and no dividends shall be declared or paid; any profits or accretions to the Society shall be used in the promotion of the purposes of the Society. This provision shall be unalterable.
4. On the winding up and dissolution of the Society, the assets of the Society shall not be distributed among the members. This provision shall be unalterable.
