Prize Draws

There will be draw prizes handed out throughout the special events on Friday, July 8. Players, coaches and managers should keep their commemorative Programs handy during the Opening Ceremonies and Skills Competition; prize draws will made using the Program number printed on the inside cover.

Opening Ceremonies

Opening ceremonies will be held Friday, July 8 on Diamond 1 starting at 4:45 PM. Teams will parade onto the field led by a colour guard and bagpiper, followed by a welcoming address, introduction of the teams and special guests, singing of the national anthem, and the throwing of the opening pitch.

Teams are encouraged to carry banners and express their team pride in creative ways. Let's have some fun at the ceremonies, keeping in mind that you are representing your association and community!

All teams are required to attend the Opening Ceremonies.

Team Dinner

All teams are invited to socialize while enjoying a sit-down dinner at McCartney Park on Friday, July 8 immediately after the Opening Ceremonies conclude at 5:15 PM. Henry's Chicken BBQ (of Pacific National Exhibition & Calgary Stampede fame) will be on-site slow-roasting their famous secret special sauce barbeque chicken over hot coals until golden brown.

Each meal includes a ¼ bbq chicken, Caesar or potato salad, fruit, a dinner roll, dessert and your choice of a drink. Players, coaches and managers are invited to attend; the concession will be open for families and fans to order their dinner. Dinner will be served overlooking Diamond 1 so that teams will be able to enjoy their dinner while watching the Skills Competition once it starts.

Dinners must be pre-ordered. Order dinners for your team by emailing the Merchandise & Dinner Order Form to provincials@nsfastpitch.ca. The deadline for ordering is Monday, June 27.

Skills Competition

The skills competition will be held on Friday, July 8 once most teams have finished dinner. There will be five events: Fastest Pitch, Longest Throw, Home Run Hitting, Base Running Relay, and Throwing Relay. The top three competitors in each event will win individual prizes as well as earn bragging rights for their team, and the team with the highest aggregate score will be crowned the winner of the skills competition.

T-Shirts & Hoodies

The design features the tournament logo on the front, and the list of teams and sponsors on the back. We are offering the t-shirts in kelly green, royal blue & charcoal grey. Hoodies are available in charcoal grey only.

We will have only a limited amount of merchandise for sale at the tournament. To ensure you get the colour and size you want, pre-order for your team by emailing the Merchandise & Dinner Order Form to provincials@nsfastpitch.ca. The deadline for ordering is Monday, June 27.
