Learn To Play in 2007!
The NVGSA is piloting the Parmalat Learn To Play program from Softball Canada for our youngest athletes. Girls in the Blastball and Mini Mite divisions will enjoy the fun, action and skill development, and volunteer coaches will benefit from the lesson plans, drills and resources this innovative program provides.

The Parmalat Learn to Play program is designed to be a young person's introduction to the sport of softball. The emphasis is on fun, action and a positive atmosphere, with a gradual introduction to competition in a game setting. Learn To Play provides children aged 5-10 with maximum opportunity to practice the skills necessary to successfully take part in the game of softball.
The Learn to Play program is also designed to be easily implemented by a volunteer coach. The Learn To Play manuals and CD-ROM contain full lesson plans for the nine weeks of the program, easy-to-follow instructions and videos for drills and games, progressions for teaching basic skills, and lead-up games. Coaching a beginner level team has never been so easy!
The Learn To Play program is an important initiative which we're piloting this year under the direction of Sue Hokanson (Head Coach). You can contact Sue at 604-929-5052 if you would like to learn more about the program.
