Congratulations to all of the teams which competed in the League Playdown tournament May 28-30, 2010.

AGM & Volunteer Social

Plan on attending the Annual General Meeting on June 24, 2010, followed by the Volunteer Appreciation Social.

The Annual General Meeting of the North Shore Girls Fastpitch Association will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2010 (location to be determined). The agenda will include a report from the President, a review of the financial statements, awards and recognition, and the election of a new Board of Directors.

The Executive would like to invite all coaches, managers and umpires to the Volunteer Appreciation Social immediately following the AGM.  This is our way of thanking all those whose time and commitment both on the field and behind the scenes make it possible for our young athletes to enjoy the sport of softball.  We're still finalizing the venue but it will include complimentary food and drink, and there will be draw prizes though-out the evening as thank-you gifts to our volunteers. Parents and others may also attend for a nominal fee.

SFU National Champions

Congratulations to the SFU Clan softball team on winning the championship on May 26, 2010.

The SFU women's softball team went through the tournament in Decatur, Alabama undefeated to claim their fourth NAIA National Championship. Read more on the Clan's website at http://athletics.sfu.ca/teams/softball/news/ten_nationalchampions.
