Please excuse the mess while we build our new website. There's much more content coming and some things may not work quite right yet.
We provide opportunities for young women, ages 5 to 21, to learn and play fun and competitive softball on one of our many house or rep teams. Softball is a lifelong sport anyone can play regardless of age or athletic ability. We encourage women of all ages to participate in multiple activities, softball being one.
The LTP program, for girls age 5 to 10, focuses on skill development and short fun games. A structured program with quick fun drills and modified rules is designed to increase skill level and difficulty over time as players grow, develop mechanics and control, and build their knowledge and love of softball.
Our house ("C") league is for recreational competition and development in a fun and supportive environment. Teams primarily play against other North Shore teams and are encouraged to enter weekend tournaments on and off the North Shore. Starting at U16 (grade 9), teams begin playing more games against other lower mainland teams.
For players seeking greater competition, commitment and advanced skills and development, North Shore Stars teams participate in the Lower Mainland Softball (Rep "B") league, and 3 to 6 tournaments each season. Tryouts and team forming commence in September. Teams practice indoors over the fall and winter to prepare for the season starting in April.
